Bad Blumau Cities

Austria 's Rogner-Bad Blumau is one of the most eye-catching spas you'll ever see. In fact, it regards itself as a work of art: "The world's largest inhabitable work of art." It has also been called Europe 's most advanced holistic centre, with innumerable programs and a large staff dedicated to personal health and physical fitness. Some of the popular attractions in Bad Blumau, Austria are described as follows.

Tourist Attractions in Bad Blumau
• Hundertwasser Thermal Spa

"Rogner-Bad Blumau"
Being the world's largest habitable piece of art, the Hundertwasser Thermal Spa is not only an extraordinary hotel and spa resort but also a popular sight open to visitors. Various tourists all across the world come to stay at the hotel mainly for enjoying the hospitality of the Spa Hotel.

Village Museum of Natural Healing

"Healing Roots and Magical Herbs"
Health has always been a top priority of Bad Blumau and so is the objective of the village museum of Natural Healing that displays in a lively exhibition where all the senses are addressed. What our forefathers knew about being and staying healthy is shown with interesting and descriptive exhibits, with hands-on features to help you grasp this knowledge in the truest sense of the word.

Thermal Hot Springs Park

Thirteen hectares of "new" landscape has been developed with the hot springs park which -as a giant resort area - joins the hot springs with the village centre. Just off the road, the park, with the "Safenbach" brook as its ecological lifeline, is an inviting place for a pleasant walk. Mostly indigenous plants, apple trees and beech trees have been planted here; wine trellises, wild shrubs with rapeseed and sunflowers are also cultivated. A great deal of this area is similar to water meadowlands. The idyllic pond system with its prominent coves and stone walls lends the park an almost Mediterranean flair.

The Baroque Parish Church Saint Sebastian

The Baroque Parish Church was constructed by the royal masonry master Bartholomäus Ebner of Graz from 1702 to 1703 and is dedicated to the Roman officer and martyr Sebastian. It is an element connecting our widespread community. The entire building was renovated between 1962 and 1987.

Waldgrotte Maria Brunn

This grotto in the middle of a forest in the tiny village of Speilbrunn is a popular destination for guests seeking peace and quiet. It was built in 1936 at the initiative of Josef Griesler and was last renovated in 1994.

The daughter church "Heilige Anna"

The daughter church in Jobst that is dedicated to Saint Anna has belonged to the parish of Bad Blumau since 1787. The impressive church structure was built in 1741 on the spot where a 16th century chapel had originally stood. The plans most likely came from the Pöllau architect Remigius Horner. There is a group of sculptures of Saint Anna with baby Jeses on the altar. It was last renovated in the autumn of 1998.

• The 1.000 year old oak

A hike from Weinbergweg to Bierbaumberg leads to an unforgettable natural moment: In a meadow surrounded by forest is a giant old tree. This 1,000 year old oak with its considerable circumference of 8,75 meters is generally thought to be the oldest oak in Europe . You can relax in its shadows or you can sit and contemplate the many, sometimes stormy epochs that this magnificent tree has survived.
